FAQ

How effective are complementary therapies?

Many people that first ask for complementary wellness therapies think that their animal will be miraculously ‘cured’ after one session. While it does happen occasionally, it is uncommon. Eastern medicine is not the same as Western medicine, in that it works more slowly because it’s going to the root cause of the issue rather than treating the surface indicators. The longer the animal has had the issue, the longer it will take to fix.

Which therapy is right for my animal?

I should also mention that just as medicine in humans, not all therapies work for all animals in all cases. Animals are individuals and they respond differently than others might. Some animals exhibit what is called a ‘healing crisis’, where their indicators get slightly worse before they get better, this is uncommon but nothing to worry about. While the majority of therapies work on most animals, because of the animal’s situation or behavioural preferences, they may not be suitable for specific therapies.
